Spiced Chocolate Mousse Tart
This tart’s secret main ingredient will blow ya mind
It’s highly addictive and extremely easy.
Ingredients
Crust
3/4 cup Biscoff Cookies, crushed up into powder (yes! the airplane cookies! you can buy them by the sleeve online!)
3 tbsp butter, melted
Mousse
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
1 tsp cocoa powder
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tbsp powdered sugar
Tiny pinch of salt
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375º F. Pulse your biscoff cookies in the food processor until super fine and drizzle the melted butter into the hole until all combined. It will be like wet sand. Scoop the mixture out into two even portions in two nonstick tart shells. I have these tart shells and I LOVE them. Suuuuper nonstick and versatile.
Push the mixture down with your fingers into the shells and get them in the oven for 6-7 minutes.
While they’re baking, pour your heavy cream, cocoa powder, powdered sugar, cinnamon, and salt into a bowl and whip it on high speed until soft and fluffed, but not stiff peaks. This should take about 2 minutes.
When you take the tart shells out of the oven, let them rest for a minute or two on the counter or in the fridge, just until cool enough to handle. Something really special about this dessert is the hot and cold situation, so it’s ok if they are still warm :)
Pop the shells out onto plates and spoon the pillowy mousse all over the top. Sprinkle some more cinnamon on top for presentation points!
